Timothy Kobosko, Named USO Vice President Of Information Technology & Chief Information Officer (CIO) |
ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 6, 2009-- The USO has named Timothy S. Kobosko of Severna Park, MD, vice president of information technology and chief information officer. He will be responsible for creating and running the digital and information environment in which the USO serves troops and families around the world. In addition, he joins the USO’s leadership team, providing a technology infrastructure to supply a touch of home to troops serving in combat zones.

Kobosko has more than 11 years of experience in information services, and recently served as vice president of information services for the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association. In this position, Kobosko created the associations first Information services team, instituted a capital budgeting process with a 3-year outlook, produced a stable, high-availability data network and partnered with software, telecommunications and data center vendors to advance the business of the association by implementing appropriate products and technology.
Kobosko, a former Naval Officer, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Administrative Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland.
